Build and publish a website by asking Claude

Describe your business in a sentence. Claude designs the whole site, Web on Demand creates its photos and puts it live on the web, ready to share.

What it does

Web on Demand connects Claude to our website platform. When you ask Claude for a website, Claude writes the full site: layout, text, colors, fonts and animation. Web on Demand checks it, creates the photos it needs and publishes it to its own web address in one step.

You can ask for a one-page or multi-page site and name a style you like. If you don't, Claude builds a one-page site and picks a style that suits the business. Contact and booking forms on your site send enquiries by email.

You don't need a Web on Demand account to build and publish. To keep a site online, save it with your email address within 3 days.

Add it to Claude

From the connector directory

  1. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors.
  2. Browse the connectors and search for Web on Demand.
  3. Select Connect.

Web on Demand works in Claude on the web, desktop and mobile.

Try it

Start a new chat and ask for a site. These are good first requests:

  • Build a modern website for an Italian restaurant.
  • Create a multi-page website for a family law firm in Toronto, clean corporate style.
  • Make a one-page site for a yoga studio with a class schedule and a booking form.

Claude replies with your live link a minute or two later. The more you tell Claude about the business, such as its name, location, services and opening hours, the less you'll need to replace afterwards. Anything you don't provide is filled with sample details.

Approving a build

Publishing puts a site on the public web, so Claude asks before it runs. You'll see a card that says Claude wants to use Build and Publish Web on Demand Website.

  • Allow once approves this build only.
  • Always allow approves future builds too, so you won't be asked again.
  • Deny cancels. Nothing is published.

You can change this later in Settings, Connectors, Web on Demand.

Claim your site

When your site is published, Claude gives you its link. Open it and enter your email address to save the site and keep it online.

Sites that aren't saved are temporary previews and are removed after 3 days.

Earlier versions

Every publish is saved as a version. To go back, ask Claude something like "Restore the previous version of my site." Restoring publishes that version as a new one, so nothing is lost.

About images

Web on Demand creates photos only as part of designing your website, so they match its subject and style. It doesn't make standalone images on request. Generated images never include text, logos or watermarks.

Privacy

Web on Demand receives only what's needed to build and publish your site: the site Claude writes and the details about your business you include in it. It doesn't read your other Claude conversations, files or memory.

Read our full privacy policy.

Troubleshooting

Claude made a web page in the chat instead of publishing a site

Check that Web on Demand is connected and switched on for the chat. Then ask again and mention it, for example "Build and publish this with Web on Demand."

I don't see Web on Demand in my chat

Open Settings, then Connectors, and make sure Web on Demand is listed and connected. In a chat, open the tools menu and check it's turned on.

I selected Deny by mistake

Nothing was published. Ask Claude to try again and select Allow once or Always allow.

My site shows sample details

Tell Claude your real business name, address, phone number, prices and opening hours, and ask it to build the site again with them.

My site disappeared

Temporary previews are removed after 3 days. Open the link Claude gave you and enter your email to save the site. If it has already been removed, ask Claude to build it again.

Support

For help with the connector or a published site, email support@webondemand.com. To report a security issue, email the same address with "Security" in the subject.
